Garibaldi Resources has already made significant discoveries at Nickel Mountain, and the site holds great potential for expanding the scale of the mineralized zones. With broad zones of nickel, copper and cobalt massive sulphides outlined by diamond drilling, the potential for uncovering additional high-value mineralization is extremely promising.
Receding glaciers on the mountain’s peak have uncovered boulder trains of massive sulfides. The magma, under tremendous pressure, pushed its way up 2 km above sea level to the surface and deposited mineralization along intrusive contact zones with nickel, copper and precious metal grades that are amongst the highest anywhere on the planet.
Rich magmatic massive sulfides with Critical Metals have been discovered. Assay results by SGS Labs confirmed the presence of 11 different metals: nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum, palladium, gold, silver, iridium, osmium, ruthenium and rhodium, with grades of up to 0.726 g/t rhodium.
“This is the first time that our exploration team has seen a unique suite of metals like that, exposed in its raw form.” - Jeremy Hanson P.GEO, Director, and VP of Exploration
“When compared to magmatic nickel sulfide deposits around the world, massive sulfides at Nickel Mountain have unusually high grades of nickel, copper, cobalt, and precious metals.” - Dr. Peter Lightfoot P.Geo., Technical Adviser for Garibaldi
“Increasingly, Nickel Mountain represents an important new discovery within the Eskay Rift. The project is ideally positioned to leverage the demand for the highest quality battery nickel required to fuel the electric vehicle battery revolution.” - Dr. Peter Lightfoot P.Geo., Technical Adviser for Garibaldi
He was initially responsible for technical aspects of exploration at Voisey’s Bay before being appointed Chief Geologist responsible for global project generation and exploration programs at Voisey’s Bay, Sudbury, and Thompson. The Voisey’s Bay mining project, a nickel mine in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, was sold by Diamond Fields Resources to Inco (now part of Vale) for $4.3 billion CAD in 1996. It is one of the most substantial transactions in the history of mining in Canada.
Garibaldi Resources Corp. has strategically assembled a team of esteemed experts, which includes the globally renowned nickel specialist, Dr. Peter Lightfoot. His methodical scientific approach, coupled with extensive experience with nickel deposits worldwide, makes him an invaluable asset to Garibaldi Resources Corp. as they endeavor to unlock the full potential of their nickel projects. Dr. Lightfoot’s profound understanding of the mineralization process of nickel deposits provides the team with a unique and invaluable perspective.

Garibaldi Resources Corp. has utilized cutting-edge geophysics, including VTEM, ZTEM and BHEM, to refine drill targets. A well-planned, systematic approach ensures a higher probability that drills will intercept conductive anomalies that may represent massive sulphide nickel/copper mineralization within large dispersed distribution patterns around a source of massive sulphides.

Electric goods require batteries made with high-quality and clean nickel minerals. That grade of nickel is called “quality 1 nickel,” and it is mandatory for electric vehicles and smartphone batteries. Nickel Mountain stands out for its exceptional quality of nickel, derived from sulfide ores, unlike over 60 % of the world’s nickel supply that is sourced from laterite ‒ a form of mineralization with significantly lower nickel quality.

Garibaldi management and advisors are focused on expanding the known Critical Metals mineralization potential of Nickel Mountain. The goal is to realize the maximum value potential return for shareholders. This requires confirming the full scale and value potential of Nickel Mountain, which also offers an extraordinary high-grade gold component within the company’s 100% owned 180 sq. km Eskay Claim group centered in the richest gold mining district of the Golden Triangle.
“We have already established the presence of substantial massive sulfide mineralization. To provide a comprehensive view of the site’s full potential, exploration will continue to advance until we arrive at a threshold which is attractive enough to ensure shareholders are rewarded with a valuation that reflects the merit and fair value of Nickel Mountain. Further drilling is necessary to reach that threshold of interest for major mining companies.” - Steve Regoci CEO Garibaldi Resources Corp.
Since Garibaldi Resources Corp.'s initial exploration of Nickel Mountain, the results have been exceptionally promising, igniting excitement for this remarkable geological discovery. The utilization of state-of-the-art technology and rigorous independent analysis has significantly heightened the enthusiasm, unequivocally reaffirming the immense potential of the site. Furthermore, the demand for nickel is undergoing an exponential surge, fueled by the rising use of electric vehicles.
Garibaldi Resources Corp. takes great pride in being an integral part of the shift towards a greener economy.
